However, due to some problems with the NEO blockchain, that is no longer the case. LRN will have different use in the future.

Importantly, as an off-chain system, much of the Lightcone relayer code is also suitable for other blockchains besides Ethereum. PoS-based public blockchains or Ethereum high-performance sidechains would do very well with a backend matching system like Lightcone because gas fees are typically lower for those chain types.

Hey everyone 👋 we did an interview with BlockchainReporter on Loopring and protocol 3.0. Check it out! https://blockchainreporter.net/2019/05/08/crypto-interview-loopring/

LRN any update? Feels like participating in private sale was a free contribution to the cause.

Hey Bernie. We’ve been working on it. I understand your sentiment fully. We wanted it to be functional on NEO, and that’s had some big obstacles due to the NEO blockchain. We hope to have an update soon, but won’t rush anything until we’re certain.

Hi everyone, I would like to invest in this very interesting project. I would like to know why there are two versions? LRC and LRN, which one should I buy? I have seen that LRN has fewer exchanges but has fewer tokens in circulation. Thank you

Hi eo. LRC is the main Loopring protocol token and is the token that ‘lives’ on Ethereum as an ERC20. LRN was meant to do similar things on the NEO blockchain, but given some difficulties they are having with their chain, we are actively looking to repurpose LRN.

People that are not willing to invest their time for learning of basic mechanics are the reason why blockchain/crypto technology gets so much negativity in the news and crowd´s information sources and the reason why it's so struggling to implement that technology in our everyday's life.

Guys tell me what happens when i own loopring tokens and after that it launches on another blockchain like rsk will i also get it there or is there a new ico?

Hey all. Here is the video from one of Daniel's BlockchainWeek NY talks on Loopring 3.0 and SNARKs, (but on youtube instead of hosted on google). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Bs3e9t8LPY

List of winner

Ask Kriptomat. They will be glad to share the full list. Beauty of the blockchain is everything is transparent

Hey all. The Information just wrote a small piece about Dolomite - a leading DEX built on Loopring. They are set to launch in 3-4 weeks. https://www.theinformation.com/articles/bonds-on-the-blockchain

Was there ever a specific reason why Loopring had to do multiple ICO's for multiple coins? Isn't the development supposed to interconnect all Looprings with each other anyway? I bought into LRN and they are effectively useless at this point with no exchange to list them. What is the plan with Loopring NEO? Will those tokens ever be used for anything in the future?

Hi Cryptano. It’s not that it was multiple ICOs for the sake of it, it’s more that at the time we had very promising hopes for NEO blockchain and wanted to deploy the protocol there (especially given our team footprint in China). The protocols were not/are not interoperable. There needed to be a separate deployment. Of course, there’s been a lot of learnings and progress in the past 2 years. It’s unfortunate NEO has somewhat stalled in terms of development and a token economy living atop, but that doesn’t mean it’s abandoned. We still are hoping that either NEO can make the necessary changes in their upcoming release, otherwise we will repurpose LRN elsewhere. That could be a different chain, or some other utility. We continue to contemplate this. As far as exchanges listing it, there are indeed many who’d like to list it now! But we wouldn’t feel comfortable doing that without a well defined roadmap for it. It’s unfortunate, and I understand your point of view. Rest assured we are in this together. Loopring foundation has the same ultimate interests as holders as well :). Hope that helps a bit.

Thanks for your ellaborted message 👍 Repurposing LRN is the only real option at this point (and buybacks or conversion to LRC could be options as well...). It's been pretty obvious NEO is not going anywhere at this point, considering the development and progress of competing blockchains. Leaving the decision to "hoping that NEO can make the necessary changes in their upcoming release" (what changes are required in your opinion?) is not really a good option to rely on.Has the team already discussed any potential "repurpose" options?

in particular im curious about cross chain dexes for stratis who is just launching their smartcontract/token sidechain this month

interesting. i don't know much about Stratis. but it's possible to port Loopring logic to any smart contract blockchain, although it would require rewriting parts in that language etc (it's easier for chains that also run an EVM, like Tron for example). not sure what Stratis' virtual machine is. importantly, with Loopring v3, the host blockchain would also need to support zero-knowledge proofs...having the proper libraries/tools to able to verify the zkSNARKs on chain.

Loopring v3.0 works on any EVM supported public blockchain (:

This is why this stuff can't reach mainstream adoption for a lot of the alts because they are not aware of this stuff and they lose money

Outside of the losing money part (Your LRC is definitely safe) I agree! Mainstream is not entirely a matter of user education, it’s ultimately up to projects in the space to make user education unnecessary with easy to use products that abstract the complexities of blockchain, signatures, transaction hashes, etc.

That is now a big prerequisite for other blockchains to support next generation (scalable) DEXs - ZKP on chain verification ability.

Is there something I can send to my friend that says exactly what loopring is , I cannot explain it. Thanks
Hey there. Are they a beginner in blockchain in general? If so, this would be great, written by Jack, a Loopring intern: https://link.medium.com/niWNOFeuJX
