oopring, the blockchain start-up, has raised 300 million yuan (US$45 million) in an initial coin offering (ICO), as regulators mull over how to get a better understanding of how to crackdown on the growing cryptocurrency market.
Subscriptions for Loopring tokens were received between August 1 and August 16 through ethereum (ETH), considered the leading blockchain platform for ICOs. 120,0000 ether was raised in Loopring’s ICO.
Simplified by some as a cross between crowdfunding and an initial public offering, ICOs involve the sale of virtual coins mostly based on the ethereum blockchain, similar to the technology that underpins bitcoin, which have surged in value.

Agreement smart contract
Our engineer Kongliang successfully submitted three orders on testnet. We found that the transaction used higher than expected natural gas. We need to optimize the fuel costs by optimizing.
Making additional tests is our top priority, so we can continue to let our code be reviewed by a third party. A number of unit tests have been performed on order and ring signature algorithms, and in this process we have found and fixed several bugs related to ring hash calculations. Test coverage is still very low, we will be more before the end of this test.
We have improved the Smart Contract Migration and Deployment scripts to support testnet and mainnet deployments.
We come into contact with several people for smart contract security audits and will continue to engage them in the conversation. Our goal is to complete our wise contract audit in November.
We are testing the integration of miners' software with smart contracts. The ring can now send a contract to cancel the serialization and store the events issued by the smart contract. We also validated the miner's code, which calculated the loop hash and signed the order to verify that the ring was consistent with the agreement's smart contract.
Our main miners, Hongyu and Dylen, are also simulating different rings to provide reasonable defaults for the coefficient of variation ("rateRatioCVSThreshold") used in the protocol.
Wallets - Looper
Looper (https://github.com/loopring/looper) is our default wallet web application that will be developed by Google's Polymer 2.0 framework. Three engineers are working hard. Our goal is to complete the entire layout and basic interaction by the end of October, which is very challenging. We gave up our previous wallet repository, so we can start from scratch, provide a better user experience and make the wallet look more like an exchange. Useful code from the previous git repository will be migrated to the new project. If you are good for the polymer, we can use your talents.
Our engineer Xiao Lu in this project is full speed. This project is a weak link in our system. The JSON API draft version is also documented; the integration with the Ethereum and IPFS nodes is done.
We spent a week in China for a week, so the team's work was actually only one week.
This week, Daniel and Jay are happy to see the town of Fabio in Zion. We discussed how CoZ works for near-Earth objects. Later, the Foundation decided to support our own developer community - the ring award (FoR) initiated by @supersymmetry, because we believe that a truly decentralized project should also be developed in a decentralized way. Now more people have joined FoR, including @DirecktHit and @thomas. We look forward to an article in @supersymmetry that tells us more about his plan (we may follow up the official statement to support FoR because their vision and value proposition are consistent with ours).
If you are interested in our project and would like to contribute to our code library LRC as a reward, please join our free #developers channel.

Announcing MyEtherWallet v3: Hard Fork Security&Updates
Due to the Hard Fork that will be happening in the following week, we pushed a rather drastic update that implements a number of changes and improvements, including higher levels of anonymous transactions, easier programming and smart contracts, and additional security in the form of masking, which will help protect users against hacking.
All ethereum wallets require to be manually updated, otherwise they risk being unprotected.
How do i update my ethereum wallet?
1. Visit https://www.myetherwallet.com/#update-wallet-info
2. Unlock your wallet using your Keystore File (UTC / JSON) or simply use your private key.
3. Click Unlock & Update
Please note that you need to manually update your wallet, failure to do so may result in funds being lost during the hard fork process.
We are taking these measures to protect both you and our network from phishing and malicious attacks.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!

@Ke1780 I expect to see the community do more token-to-token trading using Loopring, embrace the new technology. I also expect to see in each ethereum block, there is one Loopring ring tx there. If that happens, I'd be really happy.
